new face of chanel?

Blake Lively is to be the new face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag line, which Karl Lagerfeld unveiled at the Chanel cruise show last May.
(mademoiselle handbag)

Blake Lively was introduced to Lagerfeld by Anna Wintour before the Chanel couture show in July. Karl described Lively as ‘a kind of American dream girl’, saying that the shoot for the handbag line, which took place at the Chanel Rue Cambon HQ, ‘was an easy job because everyone fell in love with her’

Blake follows in the footsteps of Lily Allen and Vanessa Paradis.

i may be bad, but im perfectly good at it.

well new semester for 2011 and a hectic one, hence the not blogging for 2 weeks. still on my first year for fashion marketing, so far i have stacks of homework who knew you could have so much homework for a class called textile science. our elective that we needed to take was accounting and boy, who ever has taken it.. i look up to you. it very annoying and many terms and formulas to remember, not my cup of tea. so in our fashion and consumerism class we were asked to find fashion marketing/business related books. i found a book called "the end of fashion" by terri agins, it is honestly a perfect book to catch up on fashion history. some of the designers are from before my time, but its interesting to know like the owner of the Louis vuiton fashion house bought Dior, or that anything fashion related started in paris. how is everyone else? any good fashion books you recommend?

im also reading LA CANDY- lauren conrad, just cause i loved the hills and lauren conrad is pretty stylish.

2 0 1 1

hello everyone, sorry i have not be blogging for quite a while.. i have been really lazy especially since new years and i go back to school on tuesday so i have tried to stay off the computer and go make the most out of my last days. how was everyones new years eve? i find that nye is always so overrated and the best moments and times are the ones that aren't planned. so i can not believe it is already 2011, 2010 was good to me, graduation, mexico with my best friend for spring break, europe for the whole summer, met so many new friends, grad camping at p.roberts/ grad pranks, the olympics in our home city :), canada winning gold in hockey, falling in love/break up's/ make up's, and sooo many more memories that i cant think of right now. i hope 2011 will be packed with more lasting moments.
so today me and my best friend saw the movie black swan, honestly it was so weird and fucked up... it was good but good in a weird way.  the ending ended quite abrupt, its one of those thinking movies like inception where it plays with your mind.we also watched the movie called 'life as we know it" yaa i know i really watch a lot of movies hahah. im so not excited to go back to school :( this break went by fast and it was nice seeing friends that you do not normally see often. well i better be getting to bed now, its late. ta ta for now.
